Val is a first generation Latina, born and raised in Los Angeles. She obtained her Masters Degree in 2016 from Pepperdine University, where she developed a business plan for Plantitas Verdes. Her passion for plants began in 2014 as a result of the drought in Los Angeles. She has a deep appreciation for music, culture and all things art, which directly impact her work with plants.

Her goal is to help her clients find plants that work best for their space and lifestyle. She wants her clients to love their plants and feel connected to them.
